Ms. Wanda Trumbo Black, Age 68 of Owingsville passed away Thursday evening March 29, 2018 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky.
She was born on January 21, 1950 in Morehead to the late Grover Trumbo and Venita Swinigan Surface and her step-father Floyd Surface.
Wanda obtained her Associates Degree in Business at the Ivy Tech Community College in 1983. She went on to retire as the manager of the Radio Shack in Morehead, Kentucky. She dearly loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was a member of the Oakley First Church of God.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter Tracy Jo King and one brother William Frank Trumbo.
Survivors include three sons, Floyd "Butch" Baker of Sammamish, Washington, Jeffrey Allen Cody Black of Owingsville and Paul Baker of Turlock, California, two daughters Vanessa Brotherton (Scott) of Owingsville and Heather Weber (Jason) of Morehead, two brothers Paul D. Surface, Elmer "Lee" Surface both of Alexandria, Indiana and one sister Pam Wilcox of Anderson, Indiana. Survivors also include Jerry Black of Owingsville, two grandsons V.J. Ingraselino and 3rd Class Petty Officer Cole Baker, five granddaughters Dayna Tucker, Alex Baker, Alana Brotherton, Hayley Brotherton and Kayley Brotherton, one great granddaughter Preslee Fugate and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday April 4, 2018 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Bro. Randy Hawkins Officiating.
Burial will follow in Johnson-Black Cemetery on 801 in Morehead.
Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include grandsons and nephews.
