Wanda Buckner, 90, of Owingsville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Owingsville.
She was born on January 6, 1931 in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Frank Young and Lillie Emmons Young.
Wanda was a homemaker who also worked on the farm. She enjoyed spending time on the porch with neighbors and friends, watching Wheel of Fortune and reading. She was also a member of the East Fork Church of God.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband George Buckner, one sister, Alice Lykes, one grandchild, Kevin Wells and her son in law, Billy Copher.
Survivors include her two daughters; Rhonda Copher and Carolyn Wells and one son, Randy Buckner all of Owingsville, one special grandchild, Alison Copher and two additional grandchildren, Felicia Richards and Don Wells Jr. and several great grandchildren and one niece, Kim Lykes. Some of her fellow friends and neighbors left behind are; Lucille Heath and Steve Goldie.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Lowell Rice and Rev. Billy Harmon officiating.
Burial will follow at the Longview Cemetery in Bethel.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville is after 11:00 AM Wednesday.
Pallbearers include; Alison Copher, Kim Lykes, Abigail Wells, Tim Bailey and Andrew Owens.
