Wanda Sue Reed

Wanda Sue Reed, known to friends and family as Susie, passed away on June 25, 2023, at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

She was born on December 18, 1968, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky to late Elbert Jones Reed Sr. and Myrtle Mae Crump Reed.

Throughout her life, Susie was known for her soft heart and kind nature. She enjoyed playing bingo, games on her tablet and spending time with her family. Susie also had a special love for children.  All were welcome and she loved them as her own. Susie's love will be forever remembered by all those who knew her. She will truly be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, George Aaron Reed and Chester Dean Reed, two sisters Barbara Eulene Thompson and Brenda Kay Kissick, two nephews, Jimmy Dotson McCoy Jr. and James Stanley Thompson Jr. and one niece, Tracey Elaine Kissick. 

Left to cherish her memory are five brothers; Elbert Jones Reed Jr. (Paula) of Georgetown, Kentucky, Gary Lee Reed of Mt. Sterling, Larry Dale Reed, Robert Ray Reed and James Scott Reed all of Paris, Kentucky; two sisters; Beulah Mae Ross (Charles) of Mt. Sterling and Ida Pearl Peters (Duane) of Richmond, Kentucky and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, July 1, 2023, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating. 

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Saturday.
